Description:

The HP-A3mk2 is a USB DAC that operates on USB bus power. USB audio and optical digital audio signals from a PC can be converted to analog signals and output from the line output and headphone output. It operates with the USB Audio 2.0 driver of a PC (Windows or Mac OS), and can be used immediately after connecting the USB cable and performing with simple set-tings. A high quality DAC chip is used, the ESS Technology's ES9016K2M, and the supported sampling frequency is greatly enhanced from 96 kHz of HP-A3 to 192 kHz. This allows users to enjoy higher quality sound without sacrificing usability. Analog circuitry has also been redesigned to match the higher supported sampling frequency, and features improvements in THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) and other features that bring performance on par with that of higher-end products. The HI position provides a 10 dB increase in volume compared to the LO position. The HI position is effective for low-level input signals and can be used with a variety of playback sources.
